September 3rd Fantasy Football updates

AJ Brown has the potential to be WR1 Overall

Buy MarShawn Lloyd
Buy Rico Dowdle
His nick-name is "Motor"

Watson Finally in Balance

August 26th Fantasy Football updates

If he stays healthy he could have a significant impact depending on where he lands, he's just never been able to stay healthy.

August 14th Fantasy Football updates

Jordan Addison issues continue

Jordan Addison is having a Jameson Williams (circa 2022-23) type of offseason this year. The injury doesn’t appear to be serious so we should buy the dip, just wait a few days to see how low the dip gets.

Jameson Williams third year breakout?

Treylon is not Teflon

About an hour after this post it was reported by @TDavenport_NFL that, “Treylon Burks just came up limp after a deep pass from Will Levis. He can't put pressure on his left leg as he walks off the field.”

Bullet Proof

Brian Robinson is in line for a major workload if Austin Eckler can’t bounce-back from an injury riddled 2023. Even in a split backfield both running backs are worth drafting at current cost (B-Rob in 9th, Eckler in 11th).

Who is the Chief’s RB2?

For months we assumed it would be Clyde Edwards-Helaire getting his last chance, but he can’t seem to help himself at all. We then thought Deneric Prince was stepping-up to make it his job, but now it seems as though that may be slipping through his fingers.

Bowers is the Wildcard

This doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s going to be a fantasy superstar, but it does mean he will likely be on the field for over 80% of the snaps, which is all we can really ask of a TE.

Credit Where Credit is Due

We will be getting most of my usage reports from Nate throughout the season, it is invaluable to the process. I’m on Twitter so you don’t need to be, but if you already are make sure to give him a follow.

August 13th Fantasy Football updates

Overreaction Tuesday

Twitter was ablaze with Tyrone Tracy doom postings within minutes of the injury. Almost everyone was ready to end his career before it started. Tracy is an older rookie so any set-backs will likely stifle his career a great deal, but non-contact ankle injuries are almost always sprains (or Achilles).

Jahmyr Gibbs suffered a hamstring injury at practice Aug 11, per Adam Schefter. We had Gibbs as the RB4 (12th overall before the injury), he may continue to drop depending on the severity of the injury.

Ty Chandler needs to be in your plans at the end of your draft. Aaron Jones is now 29 (turns 30 in December), and has missed 4+ games in 3 of his 7 years while playing a full season only 2 of 7 times. We don't need to believe Chandler is good, but he's their clear number 2 running back.

AJ Dillon

It was believed that with the team drafting MarShawn Lloyd, Dillon's fantasy value had turned to dust, but Dillon has looked good and Lloyd has hamstring issues. There doesn’t seem to be a timetable for Lloyd’s return so we may need to keep Dillon on our radar.

Exercise the Demons for Darnold

This has little impact on fantasy, if anything Sam Darnold should be better for the receivers.

Hollywood Update

August 12th Fantasy Football updates

Keon Coleman with his daily highlight reel grab.

Officials let play continue despite what would have been a sack, then Josh Allen went high to Coleman who stretched to make the grab. His ability to go up and get it is why he was drafted highly.

Buffalo WR room shuffle

We have been drafting Curtis Samuel as if he will be the main slot WR and demanding a high target share. We should be moving Samuel below Shakir if they are going to have him on the field more often.

Miami Backfield of Dreams

We will be able to start De’Von Achane and Raheem Mostert from the start and we should be targeting Jaylen Wright in the later rounds. Achane suffered multiple injuries last year while handling just a moderate workload. Mostert scored 21 TDs last year, but turned 32 years old in April.

The New AB?

He’s probably closer to what we thought Russel Gage would be on this team, but the rookie is showing quite a bit of promise. Jalen McMillan was a third round pick (92 overall) that fell a bit through the process because of an injury he suffered during his senior season. He peaked in his junior season when he caught 79 passes, for nearly 1100 yards, and two touchdowns.

August 11th Fantasy Football updates

Hollywood Hurting again

The KC Chiefs WR, Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, suffered a dislocation of his sternoclavicular shoulder joint Saturday night, was discharged from a Jacksonville-area hospital Sunday morning and has been cleared to return to Kansas City.

Fade Hollywood until he drops to the 8th round (or even later in your home-league draft). You can grab Rashee Rice as early as the 4th round and Worthy as early as the 5th round.

Bucky Irving pushing Rachaad White for touches?

White is still likely to see the majority of touches in this backfield, especially the targets, but don’t be surprised if Irving starts to take-over by the time we are in the fantasy playoffs.

Giants backfield looks like a thriving community

Eric Gray had the big game, but Tyrone Tracy ran ahead of him. We should continue to draft as much of Tracy as possible in the late rounds (16-20). Tracy is a former WR, in his limited time as a RB in college, ranked 14th in yards after contact and 5th in forced missed tackles per attempt of 600 qualifying RBs.

Brock Bowers’ alignment on 11 snaps last night:

TE - 4, Wide - 3, Backfield - 3, Slot - 1, this could be exciting, but not sure if this is going to amount to much for fantasy football this season on a middling Las Vegas offense.

Jermaine Burton looks special

Andrei Iosivas has been all the rage at camp

The Bengals have an embarrassment of riches at WR, they should be looking to deal Higgins and fill other needs before losing him in free-agency next season.

August 7th Fantasy Football updates

Travis Etienne self-hype!

We would love to see Etienne build on what he started last season when he finished as the RB3 in PPR fantasy points last season (7th in points per-game). Etienne did have 58 receptions on 73 targets so there may not be much room for growth in this area. We would like to see him improve on his 3.8 yards per-carry and get a few more touches inside the 5 yard-line.

Buffalo Bills RB Room

Joe Buscaglia the Bills beat reporter for The Athletic is reporting that James Cook is having fumbling issues in camp. If this continues the price on rookie Ray Davis should skyrocket, grab as much as you can at current prices.

Bengals Go Burr!

Our main concern with Joe Burrow is his wrist injury, he is rigorously rehabbing the injury, but it was considered career threatening at the time of the surgery.

We also believe that while Bengals WR Jamar Chase is an elite talent, he is somewhat dependent on having Burrow as the QB to reach his elite upside. Tee Higgins would become the more targeted WR with another quarterback at the helm.

There’s more than one Chase in town

We’ve been drafting Chase Brown over Zach Moss all offseason. Brown’s ADP is likely to rise as reports continue coming in, we have no problem chasing him up to the 7th round. (Pun intended)

Who is the Vikings WR3?

The 49ers RB2 is a Carousel

August 3rd Fantasy Football updates

Bryce Young ready to show why he was the No. 1 overall pick?

With new HC, Dave Canales at the helm Bryce Young should have a tremendously improved year over last season.

Buy the Dip on Johnathan Brooks!!!

If there is a dip in what round Brooks gets drafted (current ADP of 90.3 on Underdog fantasy) we should be jumping all over him. This information has been baked into his profile since January, if he was going to be healthy from he start we would have been drafting him in the fifth round. This will be the classic example of double counting if he drops.

Is Dak Ready to Cook?

Brandin Cooks was disappointing in his first season with the Dallas Cowboys, we are still hoping we can get one more 1,000 yard season out of him, but we are more likely to have to rely on Cooks ability to score touchdowns for fantasy value.

Broncos Ready to Ride?

We are ready to buy the Greg Dulcich hype again. Audric Estime could cut into Javonte Williams upside, but only likely to play in short-yardage situations. Troy Franklin is not living up to the pre-draft hype. Bo Nix is likely to start all 17 games, but keep weekly expectations low.

Saints Ready to March Into the Season?

Rashid Shaheed missed practice Saturday so stay tuned for updates.

August 2nd Fantasy Football updates

John Harbaugh names Justice Hill his RB1.

I think this is among the 15% of the time that John Harbaugh is just wrong about his own players. Harbaugh is a pretty straight shooter, as we see by his reliability ranking, per coachspeak, but every camp has it's ebbs and flows. I don't see any way Justice Hill gets over 50% of the touches in Week 1, or over 40% of the RB touches over the course of the season with Derrick Henry around.

Pack your bags for Javonte Szn

Javonte Williams is due for his breakout season in his fourth year in the NFL. Williams had a solid rookie year, but was injured in his second season. Many thought he would have a bounce-back year in 2023, but he never really got it going and appeared to still be in recovery.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...

I was all-in on Jalin Hyatt last year, drafting him as high as the 12th round. He is worth a last-round flyer in best-ball, but just leave him on your "Watchlist" for redraft.

Chasing a league winner?

It appears Chase Brown will be leading the Cincinnati Bengals backfield this season. We are expecting a small majority (55/45) of the touches, but we are expecting Chase to get a larger majority of the high-value touches (receptions and goal line).
