The Week 8 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire has some gems, but it's getting close to midnight for finding league-winners. It's definitely time to drain that free agent acquisition budget (FAAB). There are several players that have obviously been dropped from other teams. One man's trash may be another man's treasure, but we are clearly near the scrap-heap.
Looking at the overall meta of scoring this year it seems that the offenses have found their way after looking lost for three weeks. Lack of playing time in the preseason has really affected the synch of most offenses. It's really made the prognostication game challenging as ever.
Waiver Wire Adds
Many are talking about how Amari Cooper has opened up Keon Coleman's fantasy potential, but Cooper wasn’t on the field for any of Coleman's targets in Week 7.
Romeo Doubs, available in 60% of leagues, is leading the Packers in targets the last 2 weeks that he's played. He's worth a pickup, especially against the Jaguars in Week 8.
James Cook failed to see a target on Sunday for the first time all season, but his 70.6% running back rush share was higher than his season-long average. He played 29 snaps to Ray Davis' 13. @LateRoundQB
HC Dennis Allen on Kendre Miller: “I thought he played well… When we handed him the ball, I thought he did some good things. I wish he would have caught the one ball over the middle, but I was impressed with what I saw out of Kendre. I think that’s a guy that can help.”
Todd Bowles said Chris Godwin will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated ankle and will miss the remainder of the season with an outside chance he could be back if they make a playoff run. Mike Evans will undergo an MRI on Tuesday morning after re-aggravating it in Monday night's loss to the Ravens. Jalen McMillan caught 3-of-8 targets for 15 yards in Monday's 41-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, poor result, but 8 targets is noteworthy for the talented rookie. Sterling Shepard will likely see the majority of the leftover Godwin targets, but Shepard can't hold up to the rigors of an every down workload anymore. Trey Palmer should also pick-up some targets and is worth adding to the watchlist.
Ricky Pearsall led the 49ers in routes run in Week 7, leading to a 16% target share. Rookie Jacob Cowing had 3 targets on only 8 routes.
Noah Fant has seen target shares of 12.5% and 14.3% over his last two, resulting in 12.3 and 10.5 PPR points. But his 48% route participation in Week 7 was actually a season low. @LateRoundQB
Pierre Strong out-snapped Nick Chubb on Sunday 42 to 30. Chubb did see a solid 68.8% running back rush share in his season debut, though. @LateRoundQB

Players We Can Drop
When we make waiver claims most of the time we can easily determine who to add, but we struggle with which players to drop. It is very difficult to give-up on a player we thought was worth drafting in the first place. If you are struggling, you should be dropping your questions or concerns in our FREE Discord channel. Don't be afraid of it, I'm over 50 and navigate it fairly well.
