Fantasy Football Waiver Wire - Week 12

The Week 12 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire is clearly leftovers, luckily we are entering the season when we get some tasty leftovers. It's definitely time to drain that free agent acquisition budget (FAAB). There are several players that have obviously been dropped from other teams. One man's trash may be another man's treasure, but we are clearly near the scrap-heap.

Waiver Wire Adds

Tyjae Spears returned to the Titans in Week 10, only leave to be evaluated for a concussion Sunday and did not return. In Week 10, Spears only played four fewer snaps than Tony Pollard, ran two fewer routes, and had two fewer carries than him. Pollard's 56 percent running back rush share was his lowest of the season.

Quentin Johnston

Both Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quad) sustained injuries in Week 11 and were unable to return. This left Ameer Abdullah as the only active running back in Week 11, but he's unlikely to command much early-down work even if both players miss time. Abdullah still logged just 1 carry and 3 targets on a 35.5 percent snap rate on Sunday. The Raiders backfield will likely be a committee, and the offense is awful at running the football.

After Audric Estime led the Denver Broncos in snaps in Week 10, Javonte Williams surged back to life in Week 11, playing 53.3 percent of the snaps, a number that would likely have been higher had the game remained competitive. He had 9 carries and 5 targets for 87 yards from scrimmage. Estime had just 6 carries and 3 targets on a 21.7 percent snap rate.

Christian Watson exploded for a career-high 150 receiving yards on just four targets In Week 11. The Green Bay Packers had just 18 drop backs, meaning Watson had a 23.5 percent target share. He played 70% of the snaps and ran a route on 77.8 percent of the drop backs.

Players We Can Drop

When we make waiver claims most of the time we can easily determine who to add, but we struggle with which players to drop. It is very difficult to give-up on a player we thought was worth drafting in the first place. If you are struggling, you should be dropping your questions or concerns in our FREE Discord channel. Don't be afraid of it, I'm over 50 and navigate it fairly well.
